John Bob Crawford

John Bob Crawford, 87, of Harrison, Ark., formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Harrison.

Mr. Crawford, the son of the late Clyde and Isabell Stokes Crawford, was born May 16, 1928 in Wayne County, Mo. He was a member of Burlington Baptist Church in Burlington and was the former owner and operator of Vernon's Farm Implement Company in Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, being outdoors and going to farm auctions.

On November 2, 1952, he was married to Mary Helen Darnell in Piggott, Ark. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter in law; Debbie Crawford of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren: Melissa Robertson and Travis (Julie) Burnett of Poplar Bluff; two great-grandchildren: Taylor Burnett and Hannah Burnett; a brother, Jack Crawford of Puxico, Mo.; and a brother in law, Fletcher Adkins of Bernie, Mo.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his son; Ray Crawford; four brothers: Harry Crawford, Larry Crawford, Carl Crawford, Billy Crawford; and a sister, Lavieve Adkins

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Reggie Darnell officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Butler County.
