John David Davidson, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO., entered Heaven’s Gates Monday, March 23, 2020 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Dave, the son of the late Edward and Alta Head Davidson, was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Wilby, MO. He was a member of Agee Fellowship Church, and had retired as Maintenance Engineer from Sikeston Regional Center in Sikeston, MO. Until his health failed Dave could be found most mornings having coffee with his buddies and trying to solve the problems of the world. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was his family.
Survivors include his children, Dave W. Davidson and his wife Mary Beth of Jackson, MO and Cindy Blaylock and her husband Danny of Cape Girardeau, MO; six grandchildren, Ashley Radake, Amber Brookover, Jonathan Davidson, Dylan Blaylock, Corey Davidson and Jenna Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Wesley Radake, Carter Radake and Ryan Brookover; a brother Charles Davidson; a sister Mary Lou Ward; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Dave was also preceded in death by two brothers Joe Davidson, Edward Lee Davidson and four sisters, Veda Mayse, Verna Ketcherside, Velma Brown and Verla Davis.
A graveside service will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
