John D. Henggeler

John David Henggeler, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Henggeler was born November 22, 1959, in St. Joseph, MO, to the late Charles Aloysius and Rose Ida Paul Henggeler. On June 19, 1999, he married Stephanie Letassy in Eureka Springs, AR. She survives the home. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregg and Charles Henggeler.

John loved to learn and was knowledgeable on many subjects. He was an artist, painter, and especially enjoyed drawing cartoons. He was a collector of action figures, DC and Marvel comic books, and all things Star Wars. His favorite superhero was The Hulk. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, in particular, swimming at Sam A. Baker Park and floating the Current River. He loved his dogs, Noodles and Banana. Above all, his most favorite thing to do was to eat his wife's cooking!

John will be missed by his family and friends both human and four-legged. A celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 2 to 4 pm at the Wine Rack in Poplar Bluff.
