Johnnie Parker

Johnie Parker, 68, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Parker was born Feb. 18, 1943 in Poplar Bluff. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and had retired in 2000 after 31 years as a supervisor with Rowe Furniture Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan.

On Sept. 4, 1993, he married Faye Wheeler in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include two children, Danny Parker of Poplar Bluff and Cherri Housman of Sikeston, Mo.; four step-children, Stephanie Malloy, Rodney Croney, Renee Morrison and Missy Myers all of Sikeston, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with Rev. Curtis True officiating.
