Johnny Lee Moore

Johnny Lee Moore, 65, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born March 15, 1949 in Poplar Bluff, to Allen V. Sr. and Merle Marie Stucker Moore. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a Sergeant 1st Class and retired from the military after 22 years of service with the United States Army and the United States Marines, where he was the recipient of many awards throughout his career. He and Donna Fowler were married June 2, 2001, in Poplar Bluff, and he enjoyed spending time with her on their porch, talking and drinking coffee. She survives of the home.Other survivors include his children: Samantha Joyce Moore, of St. Charles, MO, Christina Lee Moore, of Chapel Hill, NC, Barbara Rochelle Moreno and Crystal Gayle Armstrong (Chris), all of Poplar Bluff, and Angela Marie Nunez (Cuate) of Jonesboro, AR; eleven grandchildren; two brothers: Allen V. Moore, Jr., (Donna), and Claude Wayne Moore, (Debbie); a sister, Juanita Marie Stucker and his mother.

His father preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 ? 8p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at the church with Rev. Steve Patterson. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at 12 p.m.
