Johnny Ray Romine, 56, of Poplar Bluff, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Romine, the son of Freddie Dean Romine and Glenda Mae Daves Groves, was born Aug. 18, 1963, in Dupo, Ill. He was employed at Continental Nail Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Tammy Romine of Poplar Bluff; four children, Eric Romine of Clubb, Tara Davis of Silva, Bruce Voegtlin, Jr. of Clubb and John Clary Romine, Jr. of Bloomfield; his step-father James ‘Jim’ Groves of Williamsville; six grandchildren, Kallie Davis, Justin Davis, Katelyn Frields, Logan Clary, Haley Voegtlin and Jaelyn Voegtlin; a brother Terry Wayne Groves of Greenville; two sisters Brenda Sue Davis of Poplar Bluff and Lisa Romine of Greenville, Ill.; and a special niece and her family Jamie (Johnny) McGhee of Poplar Bluff and their son ‘Little John’.
His parents, and a brother Bobby Leo Groves preceded Mr. Romine in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Pastor Josh Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkpatrick Cemetery in Wayne County.
