Joni Ann Lavender Braden

Joni Ann Lavender Braden, 58, of Greenville, Mo., peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Mrs. Braden was born Oct. 10, 1957 in Denver, Colo. to William and Ruth Lavender. She was a member of the Calvary Community Church and loved spending quality time with her family. She was a very hard worker even after retiring as a Developmental Assistant for the State of Missouri. Mrs. Braden loved taking care of all of her antiques, loved gardening (had the best green thumb) and was the best bargain shopper ever.

On June 30, 1995, she married her best friend and soul mate, Calvin Braden in Piggott, Ark. He survives.

Other survivors include her parents, Bill and Ruth Lavender of Smithville, Texas; a daughter, Monica Cantrell; two sons; Billy Cantrell and Dylan Merritt; and her #1 granddaughter, Skylee Spears all of the home; a step-daughter, Jessica Jarrell Braden of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Pam Lavender of Doniphan; a brother, Gary (Debbie) Lavender of Columbia, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Cathy Lavender of Ellsinore; her father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Braden of Poplar Bluff; two brother-in-laws, Eric (Tonya) Braden and Johnny Braden of Poplar Bluff; two sister-in-laws, Kristy (Lawrence) Morgan of Ocklawaha, Fla. and Amanda Braden of Poplar Bluff; four additional grandchildren, Gage, Colt, Conner and Kayden and one more on the way; and many, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Mrs. Braden will be joining in Heaven her brother, Billy Lavender.

A Memorial Service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday May 17th at Calvary Community Church with Rev. Shelvie Stephens officiating.
