Josie Dean Young

Josie Dean Young, 75, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at The Cedargate Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Young was born March 6, 1939 in Malden, MO to the late
Willie Edward and Ardona May Braddum Winberry. She was of the Protestant faith, and had retired as a nurse's aid. Mrs. Young was a loving and caring person and had been taking care of others since the age of 12. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, playing bingo and watching Wheel of Fortune.

In January 1964 she married Margene Lee in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in November 1989.

Survivors include nine children: Lee Young, Stephanie Young, Billy Braddum, Ray Braddum, Gail Young, Brenda Young, Gary Young, Billy Young and Tonya Like; twenty-six grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Heffner and Barbara Elsworth; and two brothers, James Winberry and Shelby Winberry.

A daughter, Tonya D. Moore, sister, June Rice and two brothers, Willie E. Winberry, Jr., and Billy Winberry also preceded Mrs. Young in death.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
