Joyce Jeanette (Meadows) Collins

Joyce Jeanette Collins, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away, Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Collins was born Oct. 29, 1935 in Kennett, Mo., to the late Leslie E. and Rachel (Smith) Meadows. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and was a homemaker. Mrs. Collins loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing bridge and cooking.

On Dec. 26, 1953, she was married to Ronald L. Collins. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2005.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathi Gullett (Phillip) of Poplar Bluff and Karen Emmons (Ron) of Doniphan; four grandchildren: Erika Smith (Brad), Vanessa Adams (Ryan), Madison Gullett and Collin Gullett; and two great-grandchildren: Brady and Bren Smith.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Deanna LeGrand.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
