Joyce Elaine Priest

Joyce Elaine Priest, 66, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Priest, daughter of the late Ewing and Margueritte (Woods) Cooper was born July 14, 1944 in Dale, Arkansas and graduated from Neelyville high school. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Poplar Bluff and was employed as a bookkeeper for Bluff Custom Muffler. Mrs. Priest enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, dancing,
fishing, and shopping with her grandchildren.

On March 31, 1967 she married Jim Priest in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Sherry Priest, Tracy Priest and fiance Dusty Hayes, Christy Riley and husband Joey, Jamie McNew and Husband Gene all of Poplar Bluff: six grandchildren Jocelyn, Zane, Jayda, Gavin, Jacetin, and Macy: two sisters, Donice Ramsey and husband Paul of Tomball, TX and Lynn McVey and husband Paul of Columbia, MO.

Mrs. Priest was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dan Cooper.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Deb Tracy officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens cemetery.
