Joyce Ann Wilson

Joyce Ann Wilson, 87, of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at Cedargate Phase II in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 1, 1926 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a member of the Phebean Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter D.G., the Z.T.A. College Sorority and the Butler County Daughter's of the American Revolution. She enjoyed reading and genealogy research.

On Nov. 4, 1951, she married Lawrence Wayne Wilson. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1994.

Survivors include nephews, Charles Johnson (Tara) of Poplar Bluff and Mark Johnson (Ann) of Independence, Mo.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Macy Johnson, Preston Johnson, Marcus Johnson and Tiffany Johnson.

Her parents, Harry Charles and Alma Worley Harrison and sisters, Marcia Charlene Johnson and Mary Jacqueline Harrison also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with Pastor Jim Freedman officiating. Interment will follow at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
