Juanita Mae Lee

Juanita Mae Lee, 89, of Benton, Mo., formally of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Chateau Girardeau, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mrs. Lee, the daughter of the late Holland and Lillie (Hickson) Herndon, was born Aug. 23, 1928 in Marmaduke, Ark. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church of Benton, Mo. Mrs. Lee was a Department Manager for Wal Mart in Poplar Bluff for over 17 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sewing.

On Dec. 14, 1946, she married Buren Lee in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2011.

Survivors include two children, Janet Lee (Sterl) Kline and Steven (Susan) Lee; a granddaughter, Rachel Abernathy and one great grandson, Jaxon Abernathy.

As a replacement for flowers and gifts, the family requests that memorials be made to Unity Baptist Church, P O Box 528, Benton, MO 63736

The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Mo, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Mo.
