Judith Kae Cowley, 74 of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Judith was born on July 28,1945 in Moline, IL the Daughter of Clarence and Lois (Malm) Swanson. Judith married Rex Cowley on November 4, 1972 in Andover, IL and together they shared over forty-six years of marriage.
Judith received her nursing training from Augustana Nursing School in Chicago and served twenty years as an infant nurse and after moving to Missouri spent another twenty-five years giving homecare to the elderly. Judith also helped her family on the farm.
Judith was a passionate Chicago Cubs fan, a gardener, antique collector, and she painted by number. Judith enjoyed watching her grandson play sports and helping with his turtle aquarium. Most of all Judith loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Judith is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Vickie) Cowley of St. Charles, MO, Jon (Joann) Cowley of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandson, Zak Cowley of Poplar Bluff seven siblings James (Charlene) Swanson, Janice Thorpe, David (Janet) Swanson, Gloria (Tim) Grafton, Joe (Catherine) Swanson, Marijo Vols and Johnna (Rod) Olson all of the Quad Cities.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Sandra Wells.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church
in Poplar Bluff, MO, on Friday, September 29, 2019 from 2 p.m.– 6 p.m.
