Judy Faye Curry

Judy Faye Curry, 71, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on July 15, 2025, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Judy was born on May 16, 1954, to Paul and IdaBelle (Head) Stout in Tulare, California. She was raised by Vernon and Mary Gilley. She married Vernon Curry on June 18, 1971, also in Tulare, California.

Judy was an extremely loving wife and mother. She always looked for the good in others and maintained a positive attitude. Judy enjoyed the simple things in life like a cold Dr. Pepper, a Sonic slush, and playing Song Pop. She loved traveling to India for mission trips with her husband. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vernon Curry; two sons, Paul (Kimberly) Curry and Gary Curry; two daughters, Cindy Curry and Gale (Scott) Manuel; two brothers, Dennis Stout and Larry Gilley; two sisters, Shari (Randy) Franklin and Jennifer (Lyndon) Jones; nine grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Rosie, Morgan, Grace, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Isaac, and Gabriel; spoiled feline companion, Tiger; canine granddog, Oreo; and Karl the albino gecko; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and foster parents; three brothers, Jerry, Tommy, and Danny Stout; granddaughter, Sarah Gale Manuel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00am with Ray Crawford officiating. Burial will take place at Ash Hill Cemetery.
