Julia Prince

Julia Joyce(Osborne) Prince of Poplar Bluff MO passed away on Friday November 16th 2018 in her home at the age of 90.

Born on June 12th 1928 in Poplar Bluff, she was the daughter of Luella Elizabeth (Bradley) Osborne, Lennis Osborne
She is proceded in death by:
Her brothers; Lennis Frederick Osborne, baby Mitchel, sister; Jean Marion Gruye, and grandsons Scotty Ray Engle and a baby Engle.

She was united in marriage to Robert "Jack" Prince of Arkansas on Dec 10th 1946 In Poplar Bluff MO. Was married for 69 yrs until his passing on August 15th 2015.

She is survived by one sister Dora Marie Hunter-Osborne of Festus MO, and six children; Lorie Holloway (Kurt) of Poplar Bluff, Robert J. Prince(Shari) of Snohomish WA, Christie I. Prince of Poplar Bluff, Roberta J. Prince of Gainesville MO, Gregory W. Prince of N. Carolina, Dorenda J. Engel of Arkansas. Her eleven grandchildren her seventeen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Although her life was very challenging with the raising of her children she was always a loving mother and a gentle soul to everyone. She worked very hard her whole life and always had a positive attitude even at the worst of times she always looked on the bright side of things. She was never judgmental or had a bad word to say about anyone.

People who knew her knew she enjoyed walking. She was a lover of nature, land, the forest and rivers all creatures great and small. She enjoyed working for the CSEP unit of the National Forestry Department for over 25 yrs she made a career of keeping the parks and forest safe and beautiful for visitors. She drawled out and navigated a map for the Mark Twain National Forest. Her wisdom and knowledge of this area was amazing from the plants and flowers to the History of Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed company, family and bluegrass and folk music and was an accomplished musician and could play the piano, organ, dulcimer, and the accordion.

A private ceremony will be held with friends and family at a later date. For the placing of ashes at Blackcreek Cemetery.

Her love and spirit has touched many and will be forever remembered and missed. We have lost a true Earth Angle.
