Karen Louise Haga, 51, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Ms. Haga was born Sept. 8, 1960 in Brookfield, Mo. She was employed at Poplar Bluff Regional Center. Ms. Haga enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her son, Dustin who she enjoyed watching play sports, telling jokes, playing scrabble, playing the piano, music and reading.
Survivors include her son, Dustin Haga of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; mother, Dorothy (Anderson) Haga Musick of Poplar Bluff; sister, Shelley Haga of Jackson, Mo.; three brothers, Mike Haga, Steve Haga and Chuck Haga all of Poplar Bluff; nieces, Kirsten Haga, Ashley Haga, Elise Swearingon, Amy Swearingon; nephew, Sean Haga; great-niece, Adalyn Haga; special people in her life, Mario Mitchell, Carmen Sedano, Kathy Wood and Heather Wood; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her father, Richard Haga and sister, Holly Swearingon preceded her in death.
The family will receive and visit with family and friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Keith Luke officiating.
