Karen Renee Nelson

Karen R. Nelson, 58, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, in Poplar Bluff.

Karen was born Nov. 9, 1963, in Poplar Bluff to Bob C. and Ava Charlene (Butts) Nelson.  She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.  Karen loved her animals, Sissy, Bella and MooMoo, and her horse Sonny.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include three siblings. Sharon Betterley (Bob), Charles R. ‘Chuck’ Nelson (Debbie) and Gregory M. ‘Greg’  Nelson (Kim); numerous nieces and nephews; a special companion Tom Robertson; and a dear friend Lynda Carter, all of Poplar Bluff.

The visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will follow at noon in the chapel with Rev. Brian Sharp officiating.  Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
