Katherine Laura Killian

Katherine Killian, 94, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2017 at the Bluebird Retirement Community in London, Ohio.

She was born on March 18, 1923 to Virgie and Lorien Puryear in Doniphan, Mo.

She married Clifford L. Killian on September 23, 1940, who preceded her in death.

She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff and had retired after many years as a hairdresser

She is survived by a brother, Herbert Ladd Puryear and wife Barbara; a son Johnnie Killian and wife Donna; a daughter Betty Killian Wolf and husband Phil; seven grandchildren: Brian Killian, Shawn Killian, David Wolf, John Wolf, Colleen Killian Coe, Kathy Killian, Brett Killian; several greatgrandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Lorien Puryear, a sister Jennie Combs, a brother Johnnie Puryear and a son Jerry Killian.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 12 p.m. Deacon Bob Crain will officiate. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
