Katherine Louise Parker

March 24, 1928 — March 25, 2015

Katherine Louise (Stovall) Parker, 87, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at her residence.

Mrs. Parker was born March 24, 1928, in Taskee, Mo., to the late William and Tilda McCane Moore. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church and had retired after 20 years of service from the housekeeping department at Doctor's Hospital. Mrs. Parker enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing word searches and playing games on her tablet.

On Sept. 14, 1946, she married John B. Stovall. He preceded her in death in 1973.

On Feb. 24, 1980, she married Robert Parker. He preceded her in death in 1982.

Survivors include two children: Diana Dye and Donald Stovall and fiancée, Sandra Harrison, all of Poplar Bluff; daughter-in-law, Janet Stovall, of Oran; three grandchildren: John Stovall, of Oran, and Kathy Stovall and Donna Stovall, both of Poplar Bluff; three great-grandchildren: Rashayla Davis, Emily Stovall and Diontay Davis; two brothers: Larry William Moore and Gary Dale Moore; and five sisters:, Margaret Jenkins, Georgia Young, Melba Miller, Sharon Hafford and Joyce Labrier, all of Poplar Bluff.

A son, Danny Stovall and two sisters, Emma Parlee Stovall and Marlene Clay, and a daughter-in-law, Mary A. Stovall also preceded Mrs. Parker in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
