Katie M. (Underhill) Bilderback

Katie Mae Bilderback, 87, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bilderback, daughter of the late Everett Henry and Martha Jane Nichols Underhill, was born May 27, 1927, in Paris, Ark. She was a member of The First Church of God, where she was very active in the WCG (Women of the Church of God); and had retired in 1989 from J.C. Penney Company as a sales clerk. Mrs. Bilderback enjoyed bowling, volunteering at Doctor's Hospital gift shop as well as at Twin Towers.

On May 25, 1946, she married Harold E. Bilderback, in Sikeston. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2010.

Survivors include two children: Barbara Tipton, of Poplar Bluff and Gene (Brenda) Bilderback, of Doniphan; three grandchildren: Michelle (Julio) Antonio, Todd Tipton and fiancée, Jessica Wheetley and John Paul (Stacy) Bilderback; four great-grandchildren: Alexis Tipton, Rylee Tipton, Dalton Bilderback, and Ciara Bilderback; and a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Pat Horton, of Memphis, Tenn., and Betty Wiley, of Arizona; three brothers, Chuck Underhill, of Kemp Forrest, Tex., Tommy Underhill, of Flint, Mich., and Danny Underhill, of Memphis, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

A granddaughter, Michelle Bilderback, three sisters and three brothers also preceded Mrs. Bilderback in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Brother Billy Wiles will officiate. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
