Kenneth Donovan Elliott

Kenneth ""Kenny"" Donovan Elliott, 41, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 in Towanda, PA as the result of a work-related accident.

Mr. Elliott was born Dec. 30, 1970 in Oceanside, CA., and was a graduate of Slidell High School Class of 1990, in Slidell, LA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was employed with Midway Contractors. Mr. Elliott enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching children's sports, storm spotting, serving with the search and rescue teams, and playing softball and golf.

On Nov. 29, 1997, he married Leslie R. Wilson in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three children, Rebecca Elliott, Tara Elliott and Zachary Elliott, all of the home; his father, Bernie Elliott (Shirley), of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Barbara Lacy Abrahamsen, of Papillion, NE; three brothers, Chuck Elliott (Dawn), of Greenville, MI, Shawn Boyer, of Farmington, MO, and Joey Schuerger (Jancee), of Muncie, IN; father and mother-in-law, Russ and Sherry Wilson, of Poplar Bluff; and brother-in-law, Bryan Wilson also of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Stewart, Rev. Jerry Moore and Rev. Austin Armes officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
