Kristy Lynn (Risinger) Rowland

Kristy Lynn Rowland, 51, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at her home.

Kristy was born on Jan. 1, 1968, in Cubi Point Naval Air Station, Philippines the daughter of David Jon and Vivian Beth (Keller) Risinger. On July 19, 2003 she married Eric Anthony Rowland in Las Vegas, Nev. Together they shared over 14 years of marriage before his passing on June 21, 2018.

Kristy was employed by St. Francis Healthcare at Physician’s Park as a laboratory technician.

Kristy thoroughly enjoyed boating and swimming at Current River and the ocean. Dolphins were among her favorite creatures. She liked to read novels, especially those written by Stephen King and James Patterson.

Survivors include her children, Michael Andrew Hurst of Tarawa Terrace, N.C., and Alexis Jade Rowland of Poplar Bluff; mother and stepfather, Vivian Beth (Bill) Brent of Lakeland, Fla.; father, David Jon Risinger of Poplar Bluff; grandmother, Alita Keller of Lakeland, FL; two siblings Alita Renee Risinger of Temple, TX, Jon David Risinger of Poplar Bluff; mother-in-law, Carolyn Landrum of Poplar Bluff, sister-in-law, Carmen (Kevin) Hoggard of Harviell, MO; three nephews, J.T. Risinger of Temple, Texas, Ethan (Chelsea) Hoggard of Harviell and Janson Hoggard of Wake Forrest, N.C.; a great-niece Leah Marie Hoggard of Harviell.

In addition to her husband, Kristy was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wallace Keller and father-in-law, Russell Rowland.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at Moore Funeral Service, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, Poplar Bluff.

Funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Murray officiating.
