L. Dewain "Buddy" Spradling

L. Dewain “Buddy” Spradling, 65, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Mar. 13, 2018 at his residence.

Buddy, the son of the late Leonard and Louise Cash Spradling, was born Oct. 21, 1952 in Poplar Bluff. He was a self-employed carpenter, a trade and legacy that he passed on to his son. Buddy loved the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or just enjoying the warm sunshine. He also enjoyed playing pool, movies and music. Buddy was a devoted husband and father and cherished spending time with his family.

On Oct. 5, 1984, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Morgan in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death in April of 2004.

Buddy was a loving and devoted father to three children, Justin (Christy) Spradling, Christa Gentry (Ricky Baker) and JC Cothren; and a loving and devoted grandfather (PawPaw) to Casey Haldeman, Jana Haldeman, Layla Spradling and Adam Spradling.

A brother, Danny Spradling also preceded Dewain in death.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kearbey Chapel Cemetery in Butler County. The Rev. Vernon Kneir will officiate.
