LaMoin (L.B.) Holdner of Poplar Bluff passed from this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013.
He was united in marriage to Jonelle Rainey at St. Louis Park Baptist Church on June 18, 1960. She survives of the home.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Baptiste and Dora Alzada (Melvin) Holdner and brothers, Harold, John and Melvin.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Elaine Holdner of Troy, Mo.; and nieces and nephews, Kevin True, Fran Elgin, Johnny Holdner, Trish Mosby, Tom Holdner and Linda Morse.
Before becoming a Christian he played the guitar and sang in the studio orchestra of KMOX Radio in St. Louis. He served on the Board of Directors for St. Louis Youth for Christ for 20 years.
He was employed at Carter Carburetor Div. of ACF Industries for 40 years as a civil engineer retiring in August, 1980. He was a 45-year member of UAW Local 819.
He was ordained a deacon at St. Louis Park Baptist Church. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching an adult Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be at Cotrell Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1813 Barron Road, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
