Lana Adair

Lana Adair, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO was called to her heavenly home on October 9, 2026.

Lana was born on November 28, 1945, to Clyde and Gertrude (Fisher) Birdsong in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She married Richard Adair on October 24, 1968, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Lana was a follower of Christ and had her church membership at Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff. Her primary occupation was in sales. She had obtained her license to sell real-estate. Lana also sold woman’s clothing at various stores in Poplar Bluff. She was a window clerk for the Mill Spring Post Office. At the end of her working career, she was in housekeeping. Lana loved to play volleyball and go to the Poplar Bluff Colosseum swimming pool for woman’s aerobics.

Lana is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Fuemmeler of Harviell, MO; one son, James N. Adair of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, John E. (Jolene) Sloan III of Poplar Bluff, MO, Noah Adair of Dyersburg, TN, and Betsy (Joseph) Grah of Lebannon, TN; one great-grandson, John E. Sloan IV and honorary great-grandson, Tate Taylor; two sisters, Betty Pyle and Barbara (Lonnie) Lundry, both of Poplar Bluff; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Lana is preceded by her parents Clyde and Gertrude, sister Velma Carter, brothers Freddie Harwell, J.C. Harwell, Jerry Harwell, Carroll Harwell, sister Darlene McCoach, brothers Howard Birdsong, Robert Birdsong, sisters LeeElla Birdsong, Peggie Birdsong, Barbara Glore, and Ann Rieter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Graveside services will be immediately following the visitation at Cochran Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Bro. Moses Tipton officiating.
