Lawrence Fergel, 64, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away, Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Mr. Fergel was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Mandan, ND to Dorothy Reel Fergel and the late Greg Fergel, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked in construction and carpentry. Mr. Fergel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed making furniture, doing yard work and painting.
On Dec. 11, 1991, he was married to Connie Sue Baker, in Reno, Nev. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters: Amy Fergel, of California and Amber Fergel and fiancée, Matt of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Dorothy Fergel of Modesto, Calif.; a step-son, Mark Clark, of Poplar Bluff; a grandson, Timothy Joseph Clark; three sisters: Lillian, Joyce and Jeanne, all of Modesto, Calif. and three brothers: Vernon, Gary and Jesse, all of Modesto, Calif.
A graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo, with Bro. Ken Swearengin officiating.
