L.B. Lee, 78, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lee was born Dec. 24, 1931 in Marvel, Ark. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from the Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. Mr. Lee was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed being with and visiting with family and friends, watching the religious programs on the BET channel, and fishing and gardening.
On March 17, 1954 he married Dorothy Lumpkin in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include 7 children, Lisa Adams and husband Sam, Donna McCain and husband, the Rev. Ronnie McCain, Carol Lee, Phillip Lee and wife, Odessa and Zachery Lee all of Poplar Bluff, Shelia Pollard and husband, Tommy of St. Louis and Steve Lee and wife, Terrie of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Ettie Harris of Calif.; a brother; Walter Lee of Washington, DC; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
His parents, the Rev. J.L. and Virgie (Sailes) Lee preceded Mr. Lee in death.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie McCain officiating and the Rev. Johnny Williams assisting. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
