Lee Ann Stith, 58, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Clark's Mountain Care Facility in Piedmont, MO.
She was born on December 23, 1959 to Dr. Ray and Ellen (Martin) Stith in Paragould, AR. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1978 and obtained a Bachelor’s of Nursing from the University of Missouri in 1982.
She began her career as a nurse in St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City and later was the organ transplant coordinator for the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was a school nurse for the Poplar Bluff School System for 17 years. She started at Oak Grove and spent the next 16 years at the Junior High.
Lee Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
Lee Ann is survived by her mother, Ellen Stith of Poplar Bluff, MO, her brother, Ray (Kristie) Stith of Poplar Bluff, MO; three nephews, Mikhail (Jackie) Stith, Nicholas (Mallory) Stith, and Spencer Stith all of Poplar Bluff, MO; one great-niece, Piper Stith of Poplar Bluff, MO; and a special friend, Debby Holt of Poplar Bluff, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 9- 11:00 a.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 am in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Mike Caldwell and Bill Turner officiating. Burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Live on Lee Ann Memorial Nursing Scholarship to assist nursing students in the Three Rivers Nursing Program and can be mailed to 2080 Three Rivers Blvd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
