Lena MaeBell Cochran, 68, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Center.
Mrs. Cochran, the daughter of the late Floyd and Verdie Patterson Counts, was born June 21, 1948 in Naylor, Mo. She was of the Protestant faith and was a homemaker. During her earlier years, Mrs. Cochran worked as a bartender and cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.
On Jan. 29, 1999, she was married to Robert Cochran in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include four children, Oscar D. Fry of Osage Beach, Okla. and Ronnie Fry of Harmony, Okla., Barbara Ann Fry of Rolla, Mo. and Sheila Fry and fiancée, Chris Eads of Campbell, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jessie Fry and Jeanette Cristser of Oklahoma and Shawn Fry of Malden; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Counts of Campbell; two sisters, Dorothy Walker and husband Dennis of Ironton, Mo. and Judy McNece of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cochran also was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene Counts, Charles Counts, Jerrel Counts and Jake Counts.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Dennis Walker officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery off CR 468 in Poplar Bluff.
