Leola ""Sue"" Schulte, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Schulte was born Aug. 6, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebr., to the late Lon and Velma Derryberry Bowen. She was of the Baptist faith, and had previously worked as a seamstress at the Gossard Clothing Factory. Mrs. Schulte enjoyed reading, quilting and sewing.
On Sept. 5, 1973, she married John Schulte in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include five children: Robert Wilkerson (Charlene), of Corydon, Ind., Ervin Wilkerson (Carolyn), of Houston, Tex., Lon Wilkerson (Mary), of Kansas City, Mo., Velma Hartzog (Bill) of Plainview, Tex. and Vanessa Oge (Kirk) of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Kaye Cross, of Springfield, Mo.; and a brother, Lee Bowen, of Dexter, Mo.
A brother and two sisters also preceded Mrs. Schulte in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will be at Ash Hill Cemetery at Ash Hill, Mo.
