Leonard Wesley Gage

Leonard Wesley Gage, 61, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Gage was born April 9, 1952 in St. Louis, MO to James Franklin and Mary Lucille Garrett Gage. They preceded him in death.

On November 24, 1994 he married Theresa M. Lindsay in Grandin, Mo. She survives of the home, along with a grandson, Chase Thompson.

Mr. Gage retired from the Army after 21 years and operated Wappapello Sports until his retirement in 2012. He was a member of the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge and Shrine and enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife and children; Wesley Gage (Theresa) of Mena, AR, Toni Altman of Poplar Bluff, Gretchen Osburn of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Justin Schmitt of Poplar Bluff, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild; four brothers, Richard Allen Gage of Phoenix, AZ, James Odell Gage, of Danville, KY, Bob Sigman of St. Charles, MO, and Frances Russert of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Mary Evelyn Oldfield of Jasper, TX.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Johnny Gage.

Visitation will be Monday starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello, until time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pastors Richard Gage, James Gage will be officiating.
