Leonard J. ""Buck"" Griffin, 50, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Griffin was born Aug. 10, 1960 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Central Baptist and was employed at Colton Steak House for 8 years. Mr. Griffin had previously worked as a disc jockey for 20 years. He enjoyed music, fishing and playing cards.
On Dec. 27, 2010 he married LeShana Lafayette in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include 4 children, Leonard Weaver, Elvaniqua Weaver, Murvin Weaver and Raven Weaver all of Poplar Bluff; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Theola Woods of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Linda Pickens and Joyce Guest both of Topeka, Kans.; 4 brothers, Arthur Henry Griffin, Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Larry Griffin of Topeka, Kans., David Lee Johnson of Texas and Donald Ray Earl of Springfield, Ill.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church, 1023 Alice St. in Poplar Bluff. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
