LeRoy Anthony Arbuckle, 77, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Arbuckle was born Sept. 1, 1934 in St. Joseph, Mo. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God, and has retired from Eubanks EDD Trucking Co. in Dexter, Mo. Mr. Arbuckle was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing and tinkering on and dressing up cars and big trucks.
On Oct. 10, 1970, he married Delores Mathews. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Wilma Palmer of Poplar Bluff; 8 sons, Michael Arbuckle, Shannon Arbuckle and James Potter all of Poplar Bluff, Roger Potter of Rockford, Ill., and David Arbuckle, Terry Arbuckle, Larry Arbuckle and Kenny Arbuckle all of Hot Springs, Ark.; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Irma Wolf of Franklin Grove, Ill. and Sharon Pipkins, Ruth Carl and Marsha Bostic all of Poplar Bluff; and a brother, Dale Arbuckle of Elgin, Ill.
His parents, George and Helen Louise (Fouts) Arbuckle, son, Mark Arbuckle, 2 grandchildren, sister, Delores Arbuckle and brothers, Donald Arbuckle, Leon Arbuckle and Delbert Arbuckle preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Chapel with Pastor. Jerry Lemons officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
