Lillian C. Burnett

Lillian C. Burnett, 86, of Wappapello died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Burnett was born Sept. 11, 1922 in Parma, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking, playing games, working crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together.

In 1941 she married Gene Burnett in Malden. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors include two daughters: Priscilla Galakatos of Carmel, Calif. and Jackie Graves of St. Louis; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Hart of Wappapello and Blanche Adams of Baltimore, MD; and five brothers: Jackie Dale Cunningham and Billy George Cunningham both of Wappapello, Joe Cunningham and Paul ""Bud"" Cunningham both of Parma and Archie Lee Cunningham of Lovington, New Mexico.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the Wappapello Chapel with the Rev. Dean Medlin officiating. Burial will be at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello.
