Lillie Berniece Brown, 95, of Broseley, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Brown was born February 18, 1917 in Newport, AR to Lawrence and Clora White Fields; and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School. She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown loved singing, sewing, fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, and quilting.
On January 9, 1934, she married Edward Brown in Harviell. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Willard Brown of Jonesboro, GA, Willie Brown, and Jeweral Brown, both of Broseley, Edward Brown, Jr., of St. Louis, and Pauline Taylor, Darlene Brown, and Dorothy Marie Williams, all of Poplar Bluff; 42 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Her parents, brothers, Albert Fields and Tom Fields, and sisters, Beulah Fields, Flora Hardin, and Auddie Fields also preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Broseley. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Ivory Dean officiating. Interment will be at Morocco Cemetery in Butler Co.
