Linda Lee Arnold, 75, passed away at home, surrounded by her children, on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Linda was born on November 17, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to David and Jessie (Morrison) Pogue and spent her formative years in Eminence, Missouri. She retired after a dedicated career with the United States Postal Service. Beyond her professional life, Linda was a proud and devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
Linda was a woman of strong character, stubborn and strong-willed, yet deeply compassionate. She never met a stranger and had a natural gift for caring for others. Her home was always open, and no one ever left her table hungry. She found joy in cooking for those she loved, nurturing both body and spirit.
A lifelong reader, Linda’s curiosity and love of books began at a young age and stayed with her throughout her life. Above all, she treasured her family, maintaining close and meaningful relationships with her large and growing circle of loved ones. She was particularly close to her sisters, Terry Jones, Beverly Lady, Donna Rock, and Lou Terrill. She also had a special affection for her dachshunds, especially her beloved Riley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers (Lewis, Gary, and Larry Pogue); and her husbands, Scott Taylor and Lawrence Arnold Sr. Linda is survived by her children: Bernard Pogue (Ying) of Houston, Texas; Elizabeth Dunker (David) of Dexter, Missouri; Amanda Gugliano Torti of Jackson, Mississippi; and Charles Gugliano of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, David, Heather, Rain, Winnie, and Katherine, and her great-grandchild, Oliver.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Following the visitation, Order of the Eastern Star will perform their service before going to the cemetery. A graveside service will take place at Cochran Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
