Linda Kay Ayers

Linda Kay Ayers, 62, of Wappapello, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ayers was born Aug. 30, 1951 in Sikeston, Mo. to Bob and Ruth Hargrove Schwab.

In 1998, she married Gary ""Bud"" Ayers in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Mrs. Ayers attended the Wappapello Methodist Church, and was a nurse for 21 years and retired from John J. Pershing Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed reading, making jewelry and painting.

Survivors include her children: Jennifer Berry (Steven) of Dickinson, North Dakota and Matthew Weinhold of Wappapello, Mo.; grandchildren: Josef and Raychel; and a brother, Jeff Schwab (Lavon) of Augusta, Ga.

Her parents and a son, Robert Price also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello, Mo. There will be no other services held.
