POPLAR BLUFF

Linda Kay Arnold, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 2, 1943, and lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.

Linda was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, retired schoolteacher, and beloved friend.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Georgia Russell and her brothers, Jerry Russell and Joe Russell.

On August 18, 1967, Linda married the love of her life, Paul Arnold, beginning a marriage built on love, commitment, and family. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and treasured memories.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Arnold; her sons, Eric Arnold (Ashley), Jonathan Arnold, and David Arnold (Mary); and her treasured grandchildren, Chloe Arnold, Lily Arnold, Jackson Arnold, Leslie Arnold and Paige Arnold.

Linda dedicated many years of her life to education as a schoolteacher. She truly loved teaching and found great joy in helping her students learn, grow, and succeed. Her kindness, patience, and encouragement left a lasting impression on the countless students whose lives she touched throughout her career.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the heart and matriarch of the Arnold family, always bringing everyone together with her love, strength, and unwavering support. She treasured the many close friendships she built over the years and had a special way of making people feel loved and welcomed.

She took great pride in her home, where she created a place of warmth, comfort, and countless memories. She loved caring for her home, maintaining her beautiful yard, and spending time enjoying her pool. Her attention to detail and pride in her surroundings reflected the care and love she put into everything she did.

Linda also had a special place in her heart for her dogs. She was the very definition of a devoted dog mom. Her dogs never wanted for anything and were truly spoiled rotten, receiving the same unconditional love and care she gave so freely to her family.

Linda’s legacy is one of love, compassion, strength, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
