Linda Sue Rodgers

Linda Sue Rodgers, 63, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

Ms. Rodgers was born Aug. 25, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Ms. Rodgers enjoyed puzzle books and playing cards.

Survivors include 5 children: Melinda Tyler and Edward Rodgers both of Poplar Bluff, Terri Knapp of North Vernon, Ind., Susie Edwards of Pa. and Dustin Ray Edwards of Poplar Bluff; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry McCaffrey of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Ms. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Josephine (Hall) McCaffrey, daughter, Beth Ann Whitmer and son, Everett Rodgers, Jr.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Rowdy Boyer officiating. Interment of Ms. Rodgers's ashes will be at Bays Spring Cemetery at a later date.
