Lois Marie Francis

Lois Marie (Eickelberg) Francis, 80 passed on June 6, 2018 at her residence in Broseley, MO.

Lois was born July 15, 1937, to the Rev. Theodore and Edith (Kulhmann) Eickelberg in Waverly, IA. Lois became a registered nurse in 1958 and practiced until 2012. She touched many lives during her career. She was a strong dedicated Lutheran and for many years played the organ for both the Zion Lutheran Church and Holy Cross Episcopal Church both in Poplar Bluff.

She is survived by her son Robert H. Francis of Cary, NC; her daughter Cynthia M. Linville and husband, Mike of Broseley; three grandchildren, Katherine (Kari) Linville of Rolla, MO., JoAnna (Jodi) Linville of Springfield, MO and Riley Francis of Asheville, NC.; one brother, Frederick (Leslie) Eickelberg of Seattle, WA; one sister, Mary Ausen of Minneapolis, MN as well as four nieces and three nephews.

Her parents, one sister Barbara Bowdish, and one niece Emily Ausen preceded her in death.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Poplar Bluff with the memorial service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Marty Reed and the Rev. Justin Sponaugle will officiate.
