Lois L. Williams, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Williams was born June 14, 1927 in Ponder, Mo. to the late Grover C. and Pearl Ann (Darnell) Shirley. She was of the Protestant faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Williams enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family and friends, bowling, sewing, playing board games, and puzzles.
On Nov. 8, 1947, she married Glenon ""Glen"" Roy Williams in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2011.
Survivors include three children, Gary Williams of Christiana, Tenn., Bruce Williams of San Diego, Calif., and Joy Williams of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Shawn Williams, Joshua Williams and Arick Williams; nieces and nephews, Jerry Francis and wife Rayma, Kenny Francis and wife Joan, Roger Nichols, Regina Velasquez and husband Fernando and Mike Barker and wife Donella; and numerous great nieces, great nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, a daughter, Debbie Williams, three sisters, and a brother preceded Mrs. Williams.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
