Emalee Franklin Rhodes passed peacefully in the comfort of her home Friday morning. Surrounded by love, she departed this world as she lived it—gracefully and gently.
Throughout her ninety remarkable years, she touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cornerstone of her home, always offering warmth, guidance, and love to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends.
As a loving wife, she stood as a steadfast partner, sharing a bond built on laughter and shared dreams. Her commitment to family was evident in every holiday meal and family reunion.
Her legacy will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Through the countless traditions she fostered, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.
She is survived by her husband, CL Buck Rhodes, two granddaughters, BJ Mattox and Emma Kist, and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Bryant, Byron Bryant and Isabell Mattox.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 6th, 10 – 11, with funeral services following at 11am, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services with Pastor Brandon Spain officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens.
Emalee loved flowers, of which she painted and grew many.
