Lonnie G. Engler

November 26, 1967 — July 24, 2025

Lonnie Glenn Engler, 57, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his home.

Lonnie was born on November 26, 1967, to Gordon and Betty (Robinson) Engler in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Patricia (Collins) on November 30, 2002, in Butler County, Missouri.

Lonnie worked for Magee Farm Equipment for over 20 years before his current position at Kohlfield Distributing. Lonnie was a hardworking man and never sat still; always working on different projects or tasks. He took pride in his yard and made sure it was always in pristine condition. Lonnie lived his adult life in Poplar Bluff and seldom met a stranger. He loved going to Branson to see shows. He liked buying gifts for his family but especially loved gifting new tennis shoes to his daughters and grandkids. Lonnie had a love for electronics; he always had the newest phone and there was a tv in every room of the house. Prior to a severe case of COVID, he enjoyed riding along with the Poplar Bluff Police Department. Lonnie was a good man who loved his family fiercely and protected them at all costs. He will be deeply missed.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of more than 22 years, Pat Engler. To this marriage, Pat brought three daughters: April (Brian) Loftis, Candi (Doug) Swan, and Brandi (Justin) Briscoe; seven grandchildren, Andee (Ben), Mahali, Gracie, James (Kayleigh), Zenobia (Braden), Justin Jr, and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Coralynn, Elaina, and Elijah; one great grandbaby on the way; two sisters, Debbie (Steve) Pierce and Patty (Jose) Oyola; sisters-in-law, Barbara Paterson and Marsha (David) Lovan; best friends, Dusty Powell and Bob Cape; along with numerous special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

Lonnie was preceded in death by his grandma, Lovada Robinson; his parents and stepdad, Norman Richardson.
