Lora Virginia Gray

September 25, 1925 — July 23, 2013

Lora Virginia Gray, 87, of Belton, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Carnegie Village in Belton.
Mrs. Gray was born on Sept. 25, 1925 in Gideon, Mo. to James Edward and Ruby Qualls Hamilton.
On March 3, 1947, she married Wylie Eugene Gray in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2010.
Mrs. Gray was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children: Phyllis Diane Young (Richard) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Daryl Alan Gray (Susan) of Overland Park, Kans.; grandchildren; Christopher Gray (Amanda), Aaron Gray (Staci), Jennifer Gray-O'Connor (Matt), and Jared Gray; great-grandchildren: Chelsea, McKinzie, Audri, Eli, Fiona, and Avi; and sisters: Sylvia Leslie and Donna Self.
Her parents also preceded Mrs. Gray in death.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Interment will be 3 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
