Lorena Shirley Halbur, 72, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Halbur was born October 26, 1938 in Walla Walla, Washington and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs, playing bingo, traveling, and collecting her favorite items.
On October 8, 1975 she married Richard E. ""Dick"" Halbur. He survives.
Also surviving are children, Kevin Johnson and wife Lori of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rodney Johnson and wife Shelly of Racine, Wisconsin, Lori West and husband Raymond of Poplar Bluff, and Carrie Johnson of Poplar Bluff; stepchildren, Richard E. Halbur of Racine, Wisconsin, Alan Halbur of Florida, Donnie Halbur and Mark Halbur both of Racine, Wisconsin, Jerry Halbur and Mary Halbur both of Florida, and Brian Halbur of Shawanoo, Wisconsin; her father, John T. Zebell of Winter Haven, Florida; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Carol Kennedy and husband Dan of St. Marys, Kansas, Kathy Verbeten of Racine, Wisconsin and Nancy Nielson of Lakeland, Florida.
Her Mother,Lola J. (Rugg) Zebell preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff with Rev. J. C. Bryant officiating.
The family requests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
