Louella "Lou" Push

Louella “Lou” Push, 84, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Westwood Hills Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Push, the daughter of the late Willie and Raynee (Blythe) Smothers, was born January 8, 1934 in Monette, AR. She retired as Quality Control with the St. Regis Company. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Push was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Lodge and Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She enjoyed golf, shopping, going to the casino, working in her yard, traveling and spending time with her family.

On March 27, 1970 she married Rubin E. Push in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1997.

Survivors include her niece, Cathy (Tim) Schmidt of Troy, MO., great niece, Danyelle (Chris) Jackson of St. Charles, MO., great nephews, Dustin (Julia) Schmidt of O’ Fallon, MO, Drew Schmidt of St. Louis, MO, sister in law, Patsy Smothers of Texas, stepson, Tim Push of Hazelwood, MO and step grandchildren, Nicole, Tim Ricky and Michael.

The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be expressed in Lou’s honor to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
