Louis Lyndell Coleman

Louis Lyndell Coleman of Sikeston, Mo. passed away at his home on Saturday, March 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Louis was born on Nov 8, 1939. He was the proud son of Lyndell and Verna Coleman who proceeded him in death. He had two sisters, Mary Deem (deceased) and Carol Hull (James) of St. Louis. Louis graduated from Broseley High School in 1957. He served in the United States Navy.

Louis married his loving wife, Judith Ann Jeffries, on June 24, 1961 in Poplar Bluff. He was so proud of his seven children, Michael Jeffries of Tustin, California, Debbie Myatt (Jeff) of Poplar Bluff, Machell Wilson of Poplar Bluff, Lyndell Coleman (Rhonda) of Poplar Bluff, Brad Coleman (Mary) of Farmington, Brian Coleman (Shannon) of Moberly and Louis Lyndell Coleman Jr. (deceased). He loved his ten grandchildren, Dustin Tanksley of Poplar Bluff, Bradley Coleman of Sikeston, Chelsea Parkin of Poplar Bluff, Karisa Coleman of Poplar Bluff, Bailey Coleman of Moberly, Justin Rettig of Springfield, Carter Rettig of Springfield, Dallas Coleman of Farmington, Hannah Coleman of Farmington, and Hailee Coleman of Farmington; and 7 great grandchildren.

Louis Coleman was a lineman and owned Coleman and Sons Construction company for many years. He retired from being a lineman at the Board of Municipal Utilities in Sikeston, MO. in 2006. He loved his family and his friends, including best friend Ralph Innes. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the lottery. He was extremely proud of the accomplishments and achievements of his family. He shared 57 great years with the love of his life, Judith Ann Coleman. He will be loved and missed by many.

Visitation for Louis will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel with Mr. Ralph Innes officiating and The Coleman family speaking. Burial with full military honors will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
