Lucas Wesley Buffington

Lucas Wesley Buffington, 12, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, April 06, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 11, 2013, to Eric and Lindsey (Humphrey) Buffington in Poplar Bluff.

Lucas attended Neelyville schools. He loved dinosaurs and was quite the expert on them! Lucas also found planets and space to be very interesting. He loved watching Sonic, Godzilla, and King Kong. He wasn't a big fan of the outdoors, but he loved glamping with Tammy and Ellie. His happy place was at the beach, playing in the sun and water with his family. Lucas was a happy and kind boy. He carried a special light felt by others from a very young age. His smile and laughter were contagious and will never be forgotten.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Eric and Lindsey; sister, Finley Buffinton; six brothers, Ricky, Caleb (Harley), Noah, Landon, and Kaden Buffington and Justin (Natalie) Ray; grandmother, Barb Mock; grandfather, Joe Humphrey (Jody); along with numerous extended family and friends.

Lucas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Humphrey and grandfather, Jeff Mock.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services with Pastor Dave Young officiating. A private burial will take place at Kerns Chapel in Stringtown.
