Lucille J. Tripp

Lucille Justin Tripp, 89, of Columbia formerly of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at The Bluff Care Center in Columbia.
Mrs. Tripp was born Oct. 8, 1920 in St. Louis. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a retired cosmetologist. Mrs. Tripp was a member of the Eastern Star and Better Garden Club.
On Aug. 6, 1938 she married Opie Millard Tripp in Ruble, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1994.
Survivors include two children: Betty Harvey and husband James of Tucson, Ariz. and Bob Tripp and wife Patricia of Columbia; four grandchildren: Sarah Yao and husband Jesse of Seattle, Wash., Laura Hansen and husband Mark of Vashon, Wash., Diane Grier and Ryan Tripp and wife Shelli of Columbia, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Menard of Springfield.
Mrs. Tripp was also preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alpha (Justin) Bone and a grandson, Sean Tripp.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Charles Buck officiating. Burial will be at Yount Memorial Cemetery near Ellington.
