Lucille Elizabeth Wagganer (Wallis) Warren

Lucille Elizabeth Wagganer Warren, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Warren was born Feb. 23, 1922 in Waverly, Tenn. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired as a nurse's aide from Poplar Bluff Hospital. Mrs. Warren enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family, gardening, quilting, and taking care of others.

In 1949, she married Claude Wagganer, who preceded her in death. In 1971, she married Rudolph Warren. He preceded her in death as well.

Survivors include her children, Lenard Wagganer of Poplar Bluff, Ann Haile and husband Rick of Pensacola, Fla., Jack Gibson and wife Mary of Thayer, Mo., and Ruby Hogan of Poplar Bluff; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Her parents, Arch Moore and Mary Elizabeth (Crocker) Wallis, daughter, Lillian Huddleston and son, Claude Wagganer also preceded Mrs. Warren in death.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Pastor Wayne Hurst officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
